Job Description
Development Scientist

Formal Training:

MS/PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years industrial experience preferred
Familiarity with numerical methods is preferred

US Citizen (preferably with security clearance) or Greencard/Permanent Resisdent mandatory

Product Development background

Job Requirements

Emphasis on shock wave physics/penetration mechanics, or equivalent preferred
Armor systems engineering preferred
Knowledge/experience with acquiring and executing government contracts
Knowledge of armor sub-system and/or system integration preferred
Knowledge of ballistic testing of materials and subsystems and ability to interpret results preferred
Familiarity with armor system specifications and testing methods preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project management expertise/experience
Strong experience & desire to perform new product development activities
Strong team player capable of leading an international technical development while interfacing with business segments
Experience in equipment and process design and implementation desirable
